ABOUT

At some point in time, we will all face adversity both on and off-duty. It can come in multiple forms such as the loss of a family member, illness, marital struggles, or the mental and physical distress that comes with being a

First Responder.

  • Peer Support: A service provided by an individual or group of trained Peers. These are the men and women you work with every day who will respond to both your personal and professional issues on and off duty.

  • Our Goal: to help our members build resilience through education and recognize their need for help before it becomes a crisis.

  • Our Plan: to develop a team that represents the entire department; Fire Rescue, Dispatch and Fleet personnel alike.

-NOBODY IS LEFT BEHIND-

What Do we Offer?

We are here to listen to you in your time of need. Members of the team are your peers who share your experience and perspective within our workplace.

Our Peers have taken various classes that discuss

PTSD, Suicide Awareness/Prevention, Crisis Management, Mental Health Wellbeing and more.

Peer team members are NOT licensed mental health clinicians but will lend you an ear, offer their time, and provide you with access to resources and tools to assist you.
